Community Service Through A Church As A Freshman What Can I Do Now To Make A Great Impression On Colleges?

As a freshman what can i do now to make a great impression on colleges? - community service through a church

I am a newcomer to the high school. I have a huge impact on the schools. My GPA is now higher than 3.0
I take 1 honorary class. This year, among others, softball. I am also involved in the group program at my school. I have 3 days of community service this summer with my church, and I have 4 hours of community service with my band program. I want a great record when applying to a university, because my future is very important to me. I am a little worried because I am taking a class in algebra before today. I'm looking for the best grade in the class, but only at the universities, because there is a lower class? Please help me by telling me could be something that is available to help me, in a log. Thus, any additional would look good, the universities that I could do.

You are on the right track. Participation in extracurricular activities and community service can certainly be useful, especially when dealing with a place long enough to build up contacts to join the established write a recommendation letter. If at all interested in the Ivy League schools, usually on the lookout for something a little more. What makes you different from any of you around? Is there something you is that in comparison with their peers an exception. Which may mean doing national competitions as an athlete, starting your own business, winning competitions in music, art, etc., a lesser-known sport in which it would be easier to determine how to try fencing.

And in summer, try to find a job, preferably in an unconventional, where young people, again, you can gain experience and contacts for the writing of references. This may be involved in volunteering for the museum, are political interests or community elsewhere in context. One thing I recommend is very actively involved in the presidential campaign NEXYear t.

Universities are looking for improvements. The following years, can still a few awards categories.

Try closer to 4.0, if possible, and if it really unsafe to keep in pre-algebra (in mind that most people who are competing to get into a good college had the same class in grade 7 ), I suggest to find some kind of summer classes. Use the Algebra I in summer, then geometry, its second year of life. Then, during the summer Algebra II Then in the 11th Year is achieved when you take calculus before, or something. Then may the 12th Class a complete course in calculus or statistics course.

It's never too late to make it better, and for his charitable work, keep it up I wish I cared how much was when I was in grade 9th

The first priority is to get your qualifications. Your GPA should be as high as possible and your GPA is too low. As part of the extracurricular activities and additional studies.

Keep your GPA up, and how you think through highschool AP classes if you are availale. You can also, if you are ambitious, double a few college courses that your school can not offer. continue to participate in extracurricular activities and volunteer experience. more well rounded you look better. for schools, especially in his final two years of high school. take a pre-algebra class does not hurt, too. Find out more well-rounded, the better your chances of getting into the school. Good luck and do not worry, you're just starting:)

While you may think it's enough if it is a very good school here is a list of ideas:

GPA 4.0 or higher (available through refresher courses AP)

Take all the credit he can

Have tons of community service

It is good that you are active in sports

This may be too early, but preparing for the PSAT and SA, because SA is that all schools are facing and the PSAT is that you will take in its third year, and if they can score high enough, a scholarship for a college trip

I am a newbie and now my average this year was just 3.7 kinda disapointed in here are my classes for next year:

Pre-calc
AP U.S. History
French III
Wind Ensemble
CP English
Chemistry
Programming 1 a.m.-2 p.m.

PS good luck in your future I hope to succeed

maybe a math course to catch up in the summer.

Heres two ways that you can follow:

1. I need algebra, geometry, algebra II (Sophomore most likely to follow this class), trigonometry, calculate or higher (like my school offers a class in connection with half of semester two), and the qualifying year AP (senior)

or you do not have the math courses in the summer have, and you can do this:
2. Algebra and Geometry I (second year), Algebra) II (third year, then statistics Boursier.com (previous year)

The second plan will probably work best for you. Search only hard work and qualities of a line.

It is good that you think about your future. Very clever of you, but you may want too much pressure. My impression is he wants everything to be perfect, but we as humans are not perfect. Do not put in that you do not do not expect perfection.

Well, in terms of pre-algebra class ... they do it to improve and obvious. The steady improvement, which impress a possible progression to higher courses at a college, if you take a mathematical or technical. Here, the level of the class will be calculated at the time of graduation.

Community service in the summer would be a good thing. It would also, if you are interested in a career that will receive support from some national bodies to be around the race benefit.

It seems that their activities are already visible. If you wanted more, so impressive is an activity from the student government. In addition, Junior Achievement is a good organization to pursue their professional goals and not achievingFun and games. Always good face on a college application.

Good luck ... Take care of yourself, and we are trying to reach us, without pushing so hard.

Volunteering in your community, join groups at school (yearbook, Student Gov't) close to the sport.
