I recommend Metal Gear Solid 4, Uncharted 2 and Modern Warfare 2 for PS3. Killzone 2, an assassin creed 2 are the two major parties and are great games to get backup. Killzone 2 is very good if Irecommend. So Little Big Planet. A good sports game like Madden NFL 10 is also good for various purposes.
